Nick Cave has contributed two songs to The Journey is Long, the second volume of tributes to the late Jeffrey Lee Pierce (follow up to 2009’s We Are Only Riders). Cave sings ‘City in Pain’ and another duet with Deborah Harry entitled ‘Breaking Hands’. Source: TwentyFourBit.

Nick Cave will gain a Doctor of Letters from the University of Brighton on Thursday 9th February. This is in recognition of his patronage of the arts in the local region, particularly the annual Brighton film festival known as CineCity. Source: The Argus.
